It’s holiday season and I’m trying my best to switch things up this year. Let’s just say I got a little burned out on the traditional holiday spread and wanted to create some new superstars for your party. These sliders taste incredible and will not last long at your holiday party. The tangy and sweet cranberry sauce gives an unexpected twist to the meaty beef patty. They can be assembled within 15 minutes too! What’s not to love about easy holiday appetizers?

Ingredients:

1 pound Schaendorf ground beef

Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

8, 2-inch slices of brie cheese

¼ cup cranberry sauce or relish (homemade or store bought)

½ cup baby spinach

8 slider buns

Preparation (Makes 8 Sliders):

1) Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. When the skillet is hot, add olive oil.

2) Form your slider patties by dividing your ground beef into 8 small patties. Season each side with salt and pepper as desired.

3) Place each slider patty into the hot cast iron skillet. Cook for 2 minutes on one side then flip. Once you flip your patty, cook an additional minute then place your brie slices on top of each patty. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.

4) Once cheese has melted and patties are cooked, place on slider buns and top with 1 teaspoon of cranberry relish and baby spinach. Serve immediately.
